Scattered Melodies is a rhythm section who collaborates with a wide variety of musicians to feature on their songs. Their latest album “Modern Repair” was released in late 2015 and featured a total of 28 different artists. Members from Fairy Bones, The Hourglass Cats, The Wiley Ones, Pride Through Strife, and Captain Squeegee were some of the features, as well as a string quartet from the Phoenix Symphony. “Modern Repair”also included a handful of solo artists such as Ruca, Jack Howell and Laura Hamlin. All three of these talented musicians returning from debut album “A Collective Agreement”, and will be performing with Scattered Melodies here on April 14th.

Ruca was the first artist Scattered Melodies ever collaborated with, dating back to 2012 shortly after the rhythm section established the vision of what became their first album (A Collective Agreement). Her warm and sultry voice shines bright like the desert sun, filling the air with sunflowers & butterflies. Scattered Melodies had a busy 2016 with Ruca, including the release of their music video for “Community” (Modern Repair), playing on her album “This Garden” and backing her up at the McDowell Mountain and Apache Lake Music Festivals.

Jack Howell is an established songwriter and producer here in Phoenix. His studio, known as the WilloDisc Production House, has recorded & produced both Scattered Melodies albums as well as releases from Ruca, Pride Through Strife, El West, Lezli Goodwin and many more. Jack continues to build a name for himself in the Valley, and has recently released a handful of his new songs on Reverbnation under the name StoneWorks.

Laura Hamlin is an up-and-coming singer/songwriter from Mesa. She does an amazing job at transforming her vibrant & positive energy into one of the most beautiful singing voices this music scene has to offer. Laura performs in the vocal duo “Two People Singing” alongside solo artist M.R. Mal, another feature on “Modern Repair”. In addition to writing and playing music, Laura recently released her first children’s book, entitled “Did You Ever See A Moonbeam?”, available at
