Eddy Roswell, “The Six-String Poet,” hails from Roswell NM, by way of Denver CO, Nashville TN and Cave Creek AZ. His music career includes thousands of live shows and recording sessions, and twenty years as a professional songwriter. Dubbed “the most underappreciated songwriter in America,” Eddy blends soulful vocals and immaculate songcraft to tell the stories and paint the pictures of the modern American West. Eddy sings and plays pianos, organs and guitars solo, in his duo with Robert Hoke and with his band Phantom Ranch.

Seeing the Beatles on Ed Sullivan and then hearing Hendrix and Cream changed Robert Hoke forever. Influenced by Leo Kottke, Jorma Kaukonen, Pat Metheny, Ry Cooder, and David Grisman, he has spent a lifetime playing and studying guitar. His style incorporates complex chord structures and phrasing, and always adds the right touch of the unexpected. Inspired by the multi-instrumental wizardry of David Lindley, Greg Leisz, Larry Campbell, and Buddy Miller, Robert uses guitars, mandolin, Weissenborn Hawaiian slide guitars, ukulele, cavaquinho, harmonica and vocals to always bring the perfect texture and dynamic to the song he is playing.

When Eddy Roswell and Robert Hoke first played together, it was like magic. Simpatico. The troubadour and the accompanist. Their blend of guitars and other stringed instruments, pianos, keyboards and voices has only improved over time. Whatever your occasion or event, let them share their great original songs, leavened with a few select covers by the likes of Jackson Browne, Warren Zevon, Guy Clark, Tom Waits, The Beatles, James McMurtry, Neil Young… Soulful and soothing or edgy and driving, Eddy and Robert will deliver a performance you won’t soon forget.
