Patty Arnold and Gary “Dr. K” Kaplowitz
A transplant from the shores of Long Island, Gary has called Phoenix home since the mid 1970’s, and Patty arrived in the early 80’s from Michigan. They performed together for many years as part of the acoustic rock trio “Mountain Rain” and come together now as a duo with diverse influences including The Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Renaissance, Simon and Garfunkel, and Crosby Stills and Nash. Melodic, with non-traditional chord voicings, Gary’s progressions are full of undertones and have a unique ring, with Patty’s flute adding a sometime ethereal feeling to the performance.
Patty and Dr. K combine exquisite guitar, flute and vocal harmonies in their presentation of thoughtful originals, instrumentals, and their interpretation of covers from the 60s and 70s. Treat yourself to a refreshing break with their acoustic rock “Music for the Mind”.
Steve Decker is an Arizona singer song writer who believes music is a thread that connects us by tugging on our common hopes, dreams and experience. The best night performing is the night we see a smile or a tear that proves that connection is real. I hope it’s this night! Sharing the stage with Gary and Patty, I expect it will be.
Steve Decker will be sharing his original tunes accompanied by acoustic guitars in various tunings and one voice (and perhaps a friend or three to add variety).
Mark plays a unique mix of originals and cover tunes, each a thoughtful tale of love and life. His solid guitar playing and raspy singing voice mix perfectly together to deliver just the right touch. Whether a soft ballad or a classic rock n’ roll tune, Mark’s acoustic sound is something you’re sure to enjoy.
